The weather has been cold but a check at Lake Algonquin in Wells showed a core sample that was just under club safety requirements do to the balance of clear and white ice. Club officers made the hard decision to call it in hopes that the ice will build a bit more before the next check. All eyes turn to next weekend’s scheduled race at Peck Lake. Please note that Peck Lake is private property. The Peck family has asked that next weekends attendees be limited to AMEC only event, no spectators. Please do your best to spread the word.
