And just like that, the 2026 AMEC season is in the books. Five successful races capped with a beautiful day on Lake Algonquin. We had a bit of everything this past Sunday; epic wheel to wheel driving, water features, and an impromptu fly in by a group of ski fitted airplanes to name a few. It really was an amazing way to close out the race calendar. We want to thank every driver, worker, volunteer, and host who made it all possible. Special thanks to the Peck family, Lake Luzerne, and the Town of Wells for providing us with wonderful places to race. Thanks also to the businesses who fed us and housed our workers and racers along the way.
The ice tires may be going back into storage but there is still significant club business in process and on the horizon. Race results are being reviewed and will be posted in the coming days. Keep an eye out for an email with a link to our next monthly club meeting on Monday March 9th. We will have much to discuss, including an in depth review of this season as well as plans for the “off season” to come, to include a work party for the snow cat and a banquet to celebrate some fantastic wheel to wheel battles.
Until then, keep posting those photos and videos. See you down the road!
